Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea has been on our list for a while. Well, in late October, we finally got it done.
Nothing like a Nixon photo-bomb!
Heading down to the plane at Inchon International Airport.
We stayed at Hilton Tokyo Bay. Overall, it fit everyone quite well. Kids discovered that the mirror above their bed had a creepy kid appear when the hidden button was pushed.
Once we got settled in we headed down to the waterfront to take in some of the sights. Across the water is down town Tokyo that is seen in the far distance.
Tokyo Bay
The biggest Light Sabers EVER!!!
Nixon barely made it through dinner at the hotel.
Gotta be first in line, right? Step 1. Get to the park at 6:30 even though it opens at 8:00. The monorail picked us up right in front of the hotel.
We went to DisneySea the first day.
Step 2. Wait in line. Eat breakfast to kill time.
Hanging out in line, planning the routes and rides for the day.
We are hard core Disney fans but not crazy hard core like this couple with decked out packs.
The busiest ride at Disney Sea is Toy Story. The fast passes are gone by 10AMish. We had to run with the crowd. It was essentially the Japanese version of running with the bulls.
After getting the fast passes we headed to a ride that was dug by these drills.
Waiting in line (above) for Journey to the Center of the Earth. Getting on the ride (below). Always fun getting on a new ride for the first time.
Indiana Jones (ride) Temple
Hard to believe that it has been 15 years since Beth and I started dating!!! She is still as cute as ever!
Us trying to embarrass the kids!
You think the hats are funny. Wait until you see what people were wearing at Disneyland!
Exploring some of the different lands of Disney Sea.
Venice at D-Sea.
Train overlooking some of the water that is incorporated throughout DisneySea.
Bored of just standing in line? Just start taking pictures with some random people. Just make sure you through in the mandatory 'Victory' peace sign.
Made a mistake of getting onto a ride that spins with Zane. He thought it was funny I almost puked.
Fun Halloween decorations were everywhere.
Getting ready for Fantazmic water show.
Wanna know why we try to get there so early? Notice the lines! Kids barely had enough time to take in the spectacle as we just walked onto a number of rides at Disneyland (day 2).
Beth keeping her 3D glasses off until the last moment hoping to be chosen as the rebel spy.
Space Mountain.
Haunted Mansion.
Thankfully at D-land it is still the Swiss Family Robinson Tree and not Tarzan. Disneyland California should reconsider putting it back to the original. Yes, they even have Country Bear Jamboree. Just so happens it is in Japanese. We didn't make it to that one, however.
There were very few kids there. Instead, the majority of costumes were on adults (aside from the two small ducks seen below. It was a little creepy to say the least. But, it definitely made for some awesome people watching.
Splash!!!
Zane says, "Bring it on!"
Exploring Tom Sawyer Island and more random people watching.
How not to shoot at the Western Shooting Gallery (above).
While we were waiting for the parade we decided to have a color scavenger hunt, set the camera to select out all colors except for what you see pictured and everyone got a turn trying to track down their color. The below is what everyone came up with (below).
Parade watching.
Start of the last morning (combo of DisneySea and Disneyland). Indiana Jones (above).
Paying our respects to Walt!
Zane snapped this one during dinner.
Going. Going.
Gone.
2 Down (Disneyland California and Tokyo Disneyland)
